Company Overview

Specialty Motors is a fast-growing independent used-car dealer with a inventory of over 130 vehicles across two Illinois locations in Gurnee and Round Lake. We serve customers across the full credit spectrum, including subprime and credit-challenged buyers, helping them secure financing and drive away in reliable vehicles.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager with Subprime expertise who thrives in managing complex credit scenarios and securing approvals for customers with challenged credit. This high-impact role centers on structuring deals, strengthening lender relationships, maximizing approvals, and enhancing backend profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Arrange financing for prime, subprime, and deep-subprime borrowers
  • Structure challenging deals involving prior repossessions, low income, limited credit history, or ITIN customers
  • Submit applications and guide approvals through lender portals
  • Coordinate work stipulations, callbacks, and funding requirements efficiently
  • Present and sell F&I products (warranties, GAP, wheel & tire, GPS, paint protection, etc.)
  • Ensure all paperwork is accurate, compliant, and funding-ready
  • Collaborate with sales staff to optimize deal structure and customer satisfaction
  • Maintain strong relationships with banks and finance companies

Required Experience

  • Minimum 2+ years of dealership F&I or automotive sales experience
  • Proven success working with subprime and deep-subprime customers
  • Strong knowledge of lender guidelines and deal structuring
  • Experience with lenders such as Credit Acceptance, Westlake, Santander, Global Lending Services, CAC, and similar
  • Familiarity with DealerCenter, Dealertrack, RouteOne, or similar systems
  • Ability to handle deals from application to funding

  • High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
  • Ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Track record of robust funding rates and backend performance

Salary

Pay: $100,000.00 - $200,000.00 per year
