Overview
This fast-growing, independent used-car dealer maintains a stock of over 130 vehicles across two Illinois locations (Gurnee and Round Lake). We serve customers with a wide range of credit profiles, including subprime and credit-challenged buyers, helping them secure financing and drive away in dependable vehicles.
Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager with a Subprime specialization who excels at handling complex credit situations and obtaining lender approvals for customers with challenged credit. This high-impact role involves structuring deals, cultivating lender relationships, maximizing approvals, and driving backend profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Secure financing for prime, subprime, and deep-subprime customers
- Structure challenging deals involving prior repossessions, low income, limited credit history, or ITIN customers
- Submit applications and manage approvals through lender portals
- Coordinate work stipulations, callbacks, and funding requirements efficiently
- Present and sell F&I products (warranties, GAP, wheel & tire, GPS, paint protection, etc.)
- Ensure all paperwork is accurate, compliant, and funding-ready
- Collaborate with sales staff to optimize deal structures and customer satisfaction
- Maintain strong relationships with banks and finance companies
Required Experience
- Minimum 2+ years of dealership F&I or automotive sales experience
- Proven success working with subprime and deep-subprime customers
- Solid knowledge of lender guidelines and deal structuring
- Experience with lenders such as Credit Acceptance, Westlake, Santander, Global Lending Services, CAC, and similar
- Familiarity with DealerCenter, Dealertrack, RouteOne, or similar systems
- Ability to handle deals from application to funding

Schedule, Location & Logistics
- Schedule: Full-time position; must be available to work Saturdays
- Location: Round Lake, IL 60073 — this is an in-person role
- Logistics: Must be able to relocate or commute to the Round Lake area before starting
Salary
Pay range: $100,000.00 – $200,000.00 per year
