Finance and Accounting Specialist

Overview

Location and Schedule

Location: New Ulm, MN 56073. Schedule: Full-time, Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Some flexibility may be required based on finance department needs.

What you will bring to our team

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, or associate’s degree and related experience
• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
• Ability to solve problems and apply critical thinking skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Must not be disqualified by appropriate criminal background studies
• Meet the physical requirements as outlined in the physical assessment
• Able to read and write in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with Accounting ERP Software, preferably NetSuite
• Flexibility, assertiveness, strong organization skills, attention to detail

Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate and timely financial recordkeeping
• Provide guidance and support to staff, assist with financial reporting and analysis, and help maintain compliance with organizational policies and regulations
• Create and maintain accounting records, including trial balance, general ledger reconciliations, and financial statement reports
• Assist the Director of Finance with quarterly, annual and special projects
• Assist as backup to core responsibilities of Accounting Generalists as needed
• Complete other duties as assigned
