Position Overview
The Finance and Insurance Manager leads the financial transactions integral to the vehicle buying experience for every customer. You will collaborate with lenders to obtain approvals, prepare the necessary financial documents, and guide the staff on DMV regulations. This role works closely with the sales team and customers to facilitate the financing process, build customer relationships, and ensure timely completion of all paperwork.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with lenders to obtain bank approvals for vehicle purchases; prepare financial paperwork and advise staff on DMV laws.
- Engage with the sales team and customers to assist in the financing aspect of the car buying process.
- Develop rapport with customers to establish a network of referrals.
- Consult and sell finance and insurance warranties to customers.
- Produce and submit accurate paperwork for title work and secure funding from finance sources in a timely manner.
- Meet monthly objectives and deadlines for turning in customer paperwork to lenders and accounting.
- Manage and safeguard customer funds during vehicle transactions and submit to accounting.
- Adhere to local and national regulations and advise the sales team on changes to state laws relevant to vehicle purchases.
- Partner with service advisors to assist customers with purchasing extended warranties when needed.
- Build and maintain customer relationships to support ongoing business opportunities.
- Maintain a strong reputation with lenders and vendors.
- Provide a clear finance and insurance menu presentation that explains warranty packages.
- Assist sales professionals in explaining lending options and warranties to customers as needed.
- Develop relationships with local and national bank and manufacturer representatives and meet with them monthly.
- Demonstrate advanced computer skills with Microsoft Office and dealership management systems.
- Stay organized and detail oriented in a fast paced environment; think strategically to find solutions for customers.
- Be self-motivated and a team player; understand tag and title laws and DMV requirements.
- Prior automotive sales consultant experience is required; 1-3 years.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance or a related field is preferred; MBA is a plus.
- Maintain a track record of impeccable customer service ratings.
- Must be able to pass pre-employment screenings (background and drug test).

Requirements and Qualifications
- Prior automotive sales consultant experience required; 1-3 years.
- Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; MBA is a plus.
- Advanced computer skills and proficiency with dealership management systems.
- Strong knowledge of tag and title laws; DMV regulations.
- Proven ability to deliver exceptional customer service and build lasting relationships with lenders and clients.
- Ability to pass background and drug screenings.
Education
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance or related field is preferred; MBA a plus.
Compensation
Annual salary range of $125,000 to $200,000, with compensation based on volume and performance.
