Division Controller

Overview

This highly visible role will oversee operational accounting for two Genesis plants. It is a key position with the opportunity to make an impact. The Division Controller will develop, implement and maintain a system of information, processes and controls to effectively manage and control the financial impact of operational transactions, with a strong focus on systems, cost and inventory control. This role is based in Goshen, IN.

Key responsibilities

• Develop an in-depth understanding of Genesis manufacturing layouts, processes, systems and standards
• Serve as the systems expert and the go-to person for the plants
• Play a key role on two business unit management teams
• Recommend operational process improvements to enhance controls, financial performance and data reliability
• Analyze and accurately report operational financial results to the business units and corporate management
• Oversee the physical inventory at the plants
• Develop and improve processes to increase the accuracy of the perpetual inventory
• Responsible for analysis of plant costing and variance analysis
• Contribute to other projects as needed

Requirements

• B.S. in Accounting, Information Systems, Business Administration or Industrial Management
• 3+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment, with emphasis on systems, cost accounting, operations, inventory control and variance analysis
• High level of proficiency in manufacturing systems and Excel
