Role and Location

We are looking for an experienced underwriting director to drive the acquisition and retention of profitable property and casualty accounts with our Mid-Atlantic agency partners. The selected candidate will lead an underwriting team and direct the underwriting function for the Georgia Branch Office in alignment with corporate and regional goals for production, profitability, retention and policyholder service. This is a hybrid role based in our Mid-Atlantic office in Glen Allen, Virginia 23060.

Key Responsibilities

Acquire and retain profitable property and casualty accounts through collaboration with Mid-Atlantic agency partners.
Lead and manage the underwriting team and oversee the underwriting function for the Georgia Branch Office.
Plan and direct underwriting activities to align with corporate and regional goals for production, profitability, retention and superior policyholder service.

Qualifications and Experience

Demonstrated experience in an underwriting leadership role.
Ability to plan, direct and oversee underwriting operations and collaborate with agency partners.
Focus on delivering production growth, profitability, retention and high-quality service to policyholders.

Salary

The salary range for this position is $141,236-$217,503 annually. This salary range is an estimate and the actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills and abilities.

Hybrid remote role based in Glen Allen, Virginia 23060.
