Job Description
Overview
Role: Credit Analyst I. Location: Garden Grove, CA 92843. This contract position runs for six months with the possibility of conversion to permanent employment. Compensation is $22.00 per hour on a W-2 basis. Shift options include 7:00am–3:30pm, 8:00am–5:00pm, or 11:00am–8:00pm, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
- Conduct credit investigations and analyze credit information related to loans.
- Verify and update credit details as requested by clients to support the mortgage underwriting process.
- Provide operational support to the production team during the credit report supplement process.
- Resolve customer issues via telephone, handling inbound consumer and client calls.
- Perform word processing, general correspondence, and data entry tasks.
- Interface with customers regarding inquiries and complaints.
- Research online documentation to assist with verification requests.
- Analyze credit files to identify missing data and any changes to credit information.
Requirements and Experience
- Credit experience.
- Call center experience.
- Mortgage experience is preferred.
- PC literacy with basic office skills; typing approximately 25 words per minute.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a solid focus on customer service.
- Background in credit reporting, loan servicing, mortgage banking, and/or call centers.
Education
High school diploma required; a bachelor’s degree is preferred.
