Role and Location
We are seeking a motivated Credit Analyst to support business-to-business credit operations across North America. This position is based in Elk Grove, IL and is a full-time, exempt (FLSA) role conducted onsite from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. The work focuses on assessing customer creditworthiness, analyzing financial data, and supporting prudent lending and leasing decisions. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, and thrives in cross-functional collaboration within a professional office setting.
Location, Hours, and Work Type
Elk Grove, IL. Full-time, exempt (FLSA), onsite. Working hours are 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary up to $60,000 per year, DOE. Benefits include Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance. Travel is minimal, with occasional domestic and international trips up to 10% of the time.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct credit investigations and analyze financial information related to loans and leases
- Review financial statements, credit bureau reports, and industry data to assess risk
- Analyze financial conditions, trends, and key ratios
- Prepare clear summaries and recommendations regarding creditworthiness
- Maintain complete and accurate credit files, including financial statements and agency reports
- Support enhancements to credit scoring tools and internal decision processes
- Provide guidance and assistance to team members as needed
- Collaborate with internal departments on accounts receivable and collections processes
- Ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance preferred
- 3–5 years of experience in credit risk, underwriting, or financial analysis
- Strong understanding of financial statements and ratio analysis
- Experience with ERP/CRM systems such as Dynamics AX and Salesforce
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
- Knowledge of UCC-1/PPSA regulations preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish highly desirable
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Self-motivated and team-oriented
Work Environment and Physical Requirements
This role operates primarily in an indoor office setting with standard business hours. The position requires prolonged sitting, frequent computer use, and occasional light lifting.
