Job Description
Citibank, N.A. is seeking a Corporate Banking Associate for its New York, NY location.
Duties
- Produce written summaries of financial research results to support decision making.
- Collaborate with Senior Bankers to provide comprehensive relationship management support.
- Participate in client transactions, projects, or assignments as part of the team.
- Research and develop analytical tools addressing portfolio construction and optimization, performance measurement, attribution, profit and loss assessment, and pricing models.
- Assist with day-to-day cash management activities, trading initiatives, vendor finance, foreign exchange, loan activity, debt capital markets efforts, share repurchase programs, and interest rate or equity derivatives.
- Support Bankers in cross selling the full spectrum of products and services by identifying client needs to generate revenue.
- Evaluate public filings, research reports, operations, business plans, and financial forecasts to produce strategic and financial analyses.
- Stay informed about market and industry trends, best practices, and the competitive landscape.
- Assess risk appropriately when making business decisions, with focus on protecting the firm’s reputation, clients, and assets by complying with applicable laws and regulations, adhering to policy, exercising ethical judgment, and escalating, managing, and reporting control issues with transparency.
- A telecommuting or hybrid work arrangement may be allowed for employees within a commutable distance to the worksite in accordance with Citi policies and protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field, and five (5) years of experience in the offered job or a related finance role involving monitoring credit quality across the portfolio and producing risk-related reports.
- Five (5) years must include: experience running large Leveraged Buy Out transactions, outlining financial and business risk profile, impact on the company’s credit profile, cross selling across the bank’s financial product suite, and profitability; supporting Bankers in cross selling the full spectrum of products and services by identifying client needs to generate revenue; assisting with day-to-day cash management activities, trading initiatives, vendor finance, foreign exchange, loan activity, debt capital markets efforts, share repurchase and interest rate/equity derivatives; performing industry and economic research and financial modeling to evaluate credit profiles and appropriately assess risk; utilizing investment systems including Factset, S&P Capital IQ, S&P Ratings Direct, SEC Filings, and Bloomberg to assess the financial and business risk profile of companies; working with large financial data sets to create actionable insights and regular business reviews for senior bankers and management.
- Alternatively, employer will accept a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent, with three (3) years of experience. Pre- or post-master’s degree experience will be considered.
- 40 hours per week.
