We are seeking a seasoned finance professional to join our leadership team in the Controller role, with a clear path toward eventual Chief Financial Officer succession. The Controller will oversee the bank’s financial operations, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and regulatory compliance while contributing to strategic financial initiatives.
Key responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting operations, including accounts payable, fixed assets, general ledger, and payroll.
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, statements, budgets, and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
- Support the development and implementation of strategic financial planning initiatives.
- Collaborate with senior management and other departments to provide financial insights for decision-making.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the accounting team.
- Serve as the primary liaison for financial statement audits and tax return preparation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting or finance experience, within a banking or financial services environment.
- Proven track record in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and compliance.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, regulatory requirements, and risk management principles.
- Demonstrated leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- Experience with financial software, data analysis, and emerging technologies such as robotic process automation and artificial intelligence is a plus.

Education and experience
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred
