Controller/ Operational Accountant

Position Overview

Hidden Valley Manufacturing is seeking a highly organized, detail oriented Controller and Operations Accountant to oversee financial operations and support day to day business functions. This role integrates accounting, purchasing, inventory, and order management to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and accountability across the organization. The individual will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity while collaborating with leadership, sales, and engineering to keep operations running smoothly.

Accounting and Financial Management

• Manage Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)
• Oversee invoicing, collections, and vendor payments
• Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and financial statements
• Assist with monthly and year-end reporting
• Maintain accurate financial records
• Support budgeting and cost tracking

Order and Sales Support

• Process and manage customer orders from entry to fulfillment
• Coordinate with sales and production teams
• Track order status, billing, and delivery timelines
• Ensure accuracy in pricing, terms, and documentation
• Manage MSOs (Manufacturer Statements of Origin) and ensure accurate documentation for all applicable equipment
• Track status of titles and registrations to ensure timely completion and avoid delays

Purchasing and Vendor Management

• Purchase materials, parts, and supplies
• Build and manage vendor relationships
• Monitor pricing, lead times, and supply chain efficiency
• Ensure purchase orders align with project needs

Inventory Management

• Track raw materials and finished goods inventory
• Work with engineering on accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Implement and maintain inventory control systems
• Monitor usage, waste, and cost efficiency
• Assist with physical inventory counts

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field preferred
• 3+ years experience in accounting, manufacturing, or operations
• Strong understanding of AP/AR, purchasing, and inventory systems
• Experience with accounting or ERP systems
• High attention to detail and organization
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
