Overview

Join Brazos Masonry as a Controller. This well-established construction organization is headquartered in Central Texas and generates over $100 million in annual revenue. With 37 years in business, the firm operates four subcontracting companies and one General Contractor. This role includes a dedicated, full-time support position reporting directly to the Controller. The position is based in Woodway, Texas 76712.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee financial reporting and provide leadership for Payroll, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable functions
• Manage all lines of credit, bank loans, and other financing instruments
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of the General Ledger
• Lead the monthly, quarterly, and yearly close process, and oversee financial reporting across multiple entities
• Maintain compliance with IRS requirements
• Ensure adherence to construction accounting standards and regulatory requirements
• Understand and apply construction accounting principles, including over/under billings, Work in Progress (WIP) schedules, and related reporting
• Utilize and manage construction accounting software (experience with Foundation preferred)
• Perform financial analysis and support strategic decision-making
• Serve as the primary financial liaison with banks, insurance providers, and surety
• Prepare cash flow forecasts and projections
• Coordinate and prepare required tax filings and statements

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting required
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in financial management; Controller experience strongly preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Construction industry experience highly desirable
