Role Description

We are hiring a full-time Commercial Multiline Underwriter to join our on-site team in Summit, New Jersey. The position involves reviewing and underwriting insurance applications, evaluating risk factors, generating quotes, and handling policy renewals. The ideal candidate will work with agents and clients, uphold underwriting guidelines, and contribute to the profitability of the portfolio while delivering excellent customer service.

• Underwrite a range of commercial insurance applications
• Assess risk, determine coverage, and ensure alignment with underwriting standards
• Prepare accurate quotes for new and renewal business
• Manage policy renewals to maintain coverage and profitability
• Collaborate with agents and clients to clarify requirements and resolve issues
• Maintain underwriting guidelines and procedures
• Support the overall profitability of the business portfolio while delivering exceptional service

Qualifications

• Strong understanding and proficiency in underwriting and handling diverse types of commercial policies
• Analytical skills to assess risk, determine coverage, and ensure compliance with underwriting standards
• Attention to detail and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work on-site and collaborate effectively with the team
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, or a related field preferred
• Prior experience in commercial multiline underwriting is highly desirable

Compensation

Salary/Compensation: $75,000 - $100,000 per year
