Scope and purpose
The FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) and BI (Business Intelligence) team drives steady financial performance by delivering reliable, forward-looking insights to support strategic and operational decisions. We are seeking a proactive Commercial FP&A Analyst to partner with Sales and cross-functional teams, enhancing margin visibility, pricing discipline, and alignment between commercial strategy and financial outcomes. The role reports to the FP&A Manager.
Key responsibilities
- Serve as a finance business partner to Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain to support financial objectives and commercial strategy
- Assist with budget and forecast preparation aligned with company goals
- Analyze monthly performance, KPIs, and variances versus targets
- Identify opportunities to improve margins and support informed decision-making
- Evaluate revenue, margin, and profitability by product, customer, and channel
- Monitor customer deductions, including discounts, rebates, and promotions
- Conduct Volume–Price–Mix (VPM) analysis and pricing impact assessments
- Support pricing decisions, promotions, and trade spend efficiency scenarios
- Deliver clear, actionable financial analyses and presentations
- Provide ad hoc analyses to support commercial and strategic initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business
- 3+ years of experience as a Financial Analyst or similar role supporting Commercial teams (FMCG experience is a plus)
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Proficient in Excel, including advanced formulas, financial modeling, and report creation
- Excellent communication and visual storytelling skills to present findings effectively
- Experience with BI tools is a plus (Power BI preferred)
