Summary
As a Business Analysis Manager at Capital One, you will apply strategic thinking and analytical expertise to address major company challenges. Each year, billions of dollars flow through our customers’ accounts. The Fraud Strategy team protects these transactions to prevent fraud, ensuring a positive experience for customers while safeguarding Capital One. As a member of the team, you will strive to deliver excellent customer experiences while shielding customers and Capital One from fraud. To achieve this, you will deploy advanced modeling and analytical techniques and partner closely with product and technology teams to strengthen fraud defenses.
General Responsibilities
- Strategic leadership: Develop business strategies that drive growth, profitability, and competitive advantage for Capital One amidst evolving consumer behavior and regulatory requirements.
- Leadership: May supervise and develop 1-2 analysts, mentoring colleagues to cultivate talent across Capital One.
- Product: Create and implement new product and pricing strategies for various lending products; lead product-level modeling and analytics.
- Marketing: Lead direct-to-consumer marketing for select products and define strategic direction for products distributed through the retail channel. Build targeted insights to inform the design of new customer experiences and breakthrough technologies aligned with go-to-market strategies.
- Credit Risk: Drive significant improvements in credit performance by linking drivers of future consumer credit trends to past behavior, developing risk models, and testing hypotheses with rigorous monitoring and analysis.
- Execution: Manage and sequence delivery of business intent, draft business requirements, and execute against the product strategy. Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently.
- Partnership: Collaborate with colleagues across Capital One, including IT, Sales, Operations, Finance, and others, to improve quality, volume, service, and profitability.
- Strategic & analytic orientation: Demonstrates a proven track record of analytics-based decision making and problem solving. Conceptual thinking should be complemented by a strong quantitative focus, given the data-driven nature of marketing and credit risk management.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in any quantitative field (Business, Math, Economics, Finance, Statistics, Science, Engineering).
- At least 2 years of experience in analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Business or a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, or Engineering.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
