Role overview
The Banking and Lending Specialist acts as a client facing banking and lending product expert, collaborating directly with clients and Ameriprise Financial Advisors to address client specific banking and lending needs. The position delivers a premium, white glove service by educating clients on bank deposit and lending solutions, supporting account opening and servicing activities, and strengthening the trusted advisor and client relationship. Reporting to the Banking and Lending Director, this role emphasizes execution, client engagement, and product education with a growth focus.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with clients and Ameriprise Financial Advisors to support banking and lending needs aligned with advisor financial planning strategies
- Provide high quality, white glove service through prompt responses, clear communication, and personalized client support
- Educate clients on bank deposit and lending products, including features, benefits, eligibility requirements, and account structures
- Maintain a trusted Advisor/client relationship by delivering consistent, compliant, and professional client interactions
- Assist with client acquisition and onboarding of banking and lending products, including checking, savings, CDs, mortgage, home equity, and securities backed lending where applicable
- Support account opening, documentation, and servicing processes in line with bank policy and regulatory requirements
Required Qualifications
- 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in banking, lending, or financial services
- Active FINRA Series 7 license or ability to obtain within 90 days
- Active FINRA Series 63 or Series 66, or the ability to obtain within 90 days
Preferred Qualifications
- Client facing or advisor experience supporting deposit and/or lending products
- Strong understanding of banking products and client service expectations
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients and financial advisors
- Ability to maintain client confidentiality and adhere to regulatory requirements
- Experience in personal banking, lending, or loan origination (Mortgage, Home Equity, Securities Backed Lending)
- Experience supporting high net worth or wealth management clients
- Prior experience partnering with financial advisors or relationship managers
- Experience as a personal banker or in customer service for Checking, Savings, CDs and related services
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail and follow through
- Ability to problem solve and manage multiple client requests simultaneously

Base Pay Salary
The estimated base salary for this role ranges from $93,400 to $128,400 per year. Our compensation approach is pay for performance. Initial total compensation may vary based on job related knowledge, skills, experience, and geographic work location. Most roles offer variable pay in the form of bonuses, commissions, and/or long term incentives depending on the position.
