Job Description
Role Overview
The position begins with recording loan trades that hedge our Total Return Swaps with clients and maintaining the TRS records, primarily using Excel with macros. You will reconcile and confirm positions, monitor and resolve margin disputes, and record loan hedge accrual resets. The role also involves helping migrate bookings from spreadsheets to a strategic system designed to automate Desk PnL, downstream Market and counterparty risk, settlements, and accounting. Additionally, you will support internal presentations and approvals for TRS and SPV Financing structures and assist a senior desk member with asset-level financing approvals received from clients.
Required Skills and Background
- Self-starter with initiative and drive
- Knowledge of trading markets; derivatives and credit/loan markets are a plus
- Strong technology proficiency
- Familiarity with RBC support processes across Market Risk, Credit Risk, Counterparty Credit Risk, Product Control, and Operations
- Interest in fundamental credit analysis is advantageous

Compensation and Benefits
The indicative base salary range for this role is $135,000 to $165,000, dependent on factors such as experience, skills, regulatory status, market conditions, and business needs. This range excludes other elements of total compensation, including discretionary bonuses and benefits such as a 401(k) program with company matching contributions, health, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, and paid time off.

- Supports Non-Traditional ABS origination team within the ABS Origination and Global Spread Products businesses
Key Relationships
- Provide essential support to senior ABS bankers for client coverage
- Coach and mentor junior Analysts and Associates in transaction/pitch execution and professional development
- Regular coordination with ABS syndicate, ABS sales, ABS trading, ABS financing, Corporate Banking, Global Investment Banking, and other internal stakeholders to deliver the best outcomes for clients
Working Conditions
Operate in a fast-paced trading floor environment requiring strong multitasking, robust computer and analytical skills, and meticulous attention to detail. Hours can be unpredictable and as needed. The role is based in New York with some travel anticipated.
