Job Description
Master Plan Investment Group, a growing financial planning and investment management firm based in Hopewell, NJ, is seeking a hybrid Associate Advisor to join the team. This role supports delivering high quality financial planning and investment management services to clients. Location and Work Arrangement
This position operates on a hybrid schedule. You will work two days in the office and three days from home. The firm will provide equipment for remote work, but you should have a comfortable workspace at home.
Compensation and Benefits
Salary is offered in the range of $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with relevant experience. You are eligible for quarterly bonuses up to 10% of salary. The role supports a healthy work-life balance with a Monday through Friday schedule.

Responsibilities
- Prepare financial plans for clients and prospects and participate in client meetings with the lead advisor
- Respond to client requests with timeliness and accuracy
- Assist Advisors with client meeting preparation and follow-up tasks
- Update internal portfolio models using MorningStar and the broker-dealer model management system when quarterly updates are provided
- Manage calendar for Financial Advisor(s), including client appointments (this role is supported by another associate)
- Prepare materials and provide support for retirement plan meetings
- Assist with, and eventually lead, retirement plan participant education meetings
- Manage quarterly communications with plan sponsors and participants
- Contribute to process improvements by identifying areas for enhancement and providing input to help the role evolve over time
Qualifications and Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in financial services
- Strong technology proficiency, experience with third-party software, and core Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.)
- Experience with financial planning software (for example RightCapital, IncomeLab) and Morningstar
- Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) licenses, or the ability to obtain them within one year or less after hire
- Ability to prioritize tasks, solve problems, and meet deadlines
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to anticipate client and advisor needs
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and time effectively
- Willingness to learn and implement new technology and software quickly
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively
- Ability to follow office processes and policies related to operations and client privacy
The Process
Qualified candidates will begin with a 15 to 30 minute Zoom interview conducted by our recruiting consultant. If there is mutual interest to proceed, you will be asked to complete a Career History Form. Those selected to advance will be invited to an interview with the firm, and applicants will be asked to take assessments as part of the process.
