Program Details

As an Advisor Development Program Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I (ADP FSA I), you start by securing Securities Industry licenses with dedicated study time for the Securities Industry Essentials (SIE), Series 7, and Series 66 exams. After earning your licenses, you will learn the foundational skills required to be an advisor, including acquiring, building, and managing client relationships, evaluating a client’s complex financial picture, and guiding them with advice and solutions to help them live their best financial lives, all while delivering human-centered financial interactions. When you reach key milestones, you will begin working in a financial center to deliver Bank of America’s core banking and investment solutions and strong client care. The program provides comprehensive support as you progress through its development stages.

Career Path

Upon demonstrated success as a licensed ADP Financial Solutions Advisor Stage I, you typically advance to the Merrill Financial Solutions Advisor (MFSA). In that role you will transition to a local Merrill Wealth Management office and start building a portfolio of affluent and high net worth clients, applying the skills learned in ADP. The ultimate objective is to become a core Merrill Financial Advisor, with ongoing programs, tools, and resources supporting your career journey.

Responsibilities

• Obtain Securities Industry licenses, including SIE, Series 7, and Series 66 (or Series 63 and 65 instead of Series 66)
• Develop and manage client relationships through effective communication and collaboration
• Adopt a proactive approach and manage time efficiently
• Maintain a results-driven mindset with client interests at the forefront
• Identify suitable client solutions by applying knowledge and new information
• Apply regulatory due diligence in daily activities and in shaping long-term client strategies
• Begin in a financial center delivering Bank of America core banking and investment solutions and client care

Required Qualifications

• Holds Series 7 and 66 licenses or Series 63 and 65 in lieu of Series 66
• Confidence working in a sales role
• Ability to build strong client relationships through effective communication and collaboration
• Proactive mindset with strong time management
• Results-driven approach prioritizing client interests
• Ability to identify appropriate client solutions using prior learning and new information
• Performs regulatory due diligence in daily activities and long-term client planning

Desired Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree and/or at least one year of financial services industry or sales experience
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new technology or applications
• Ability to multitask effectively
• Spanish bilingual

Compliance and Registration

This position is subject to SAFE Act registration requirements. Under the SAFE Act, employees involved in residential loan mortgage originations must register with the federal registry and remain in good standing. You will be required to complete the SAFE Act background check and registration process. Failure to obtain or maintain SAFE Act registration may result in termination of employment.
