Job Summary
We are partnering with an entertainment-sector client to fill a contract role for an Accounting & Financial Reporting Manager. The position supports internal and external quarterly and annual reporting, oversees company-wide SOX coordination, and handles accounting duties for designated areas. It contributes to public reporting processes, partners on annual audits and quarterly reviews, and assists with technical accounting research. The role will also oversee selected general ledger activities and participate in special projects, including corporate transactional work as needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing financial statements and management reports for public filings.
- Support the development of quarterly and annual SEC disclosures.
- Research complex accounting issues; analyze new and proposed SEC and FASB standards, and draft technical memos outlining the impacts on the company.
- Coordinate and maintain SOX compliance efforts across the organization.
- Participate in assigned special projects.
- Contribute to the review of quarterly earnings materials.
- Manage additional financial reporting deliverables as required.
- Oversee select general ledger responsibilities, including journal entries, reconciliations, and related SOX controls.
- Provide financial and analytical insights to support business decisions.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
- 4+ years of broad accounting experience, including at least one year supporting SEC reporting for a public company (10-K and 10-Q preparation), or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Strong understanding of US GAAP.
- Ability to research and draft documentation for technical accounting issues.
- Proven capability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an emphasis on collaboration.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA certification.
- Experience in a top-tier public accounting firm and/or public company SEC reporting.
- Entertainment industry experience.
Engagement Details
Engagement Type: Contract with the potential to convert to a permanent role.
Location: Hybrid 4 Days/Week, Greenwood Village, CO.
Start Date: March 2, 2026.
Duration: 3 months+.
Hourly Rate: $65-85/hour.
