Accountant

Overview

Ledgent Finance & Accounting is seeking a seasoned Senior Accountant to provide high-level support on a critical multi-entity project. This 2-3 month contract, with the possibility of temp-to-hire based on performance and business needs, is based on-site in Concord, CA and pays between $48 and $58 per hour. The role offers a visible, impactful position across multiple entities.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting and month-end close activities across multiple entities
• Support and prepare inventory accounting functions, reconciliations, and variance analyses
• Assist the CFO with various reporting packages, schedules, and ad-hoc analyses
• Prepare financial statements, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP
• Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve discrepancies and streamline processes

Top Skills and Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Hands-on experience with financial reporting and inventory accounting
• NetSuite and Sage expertise required
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs; Macros a plus)
• Strong understanding of GAAP and multi-entity structures
• CPA license preferred
