Accountant

Overview

We are seeking a meticulous Accountant to join our finance team. The role focuses on maintaining precise financial records, supporting fund accounting and reporting, and ensuring regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, experience in investment or fund environments, and the ability to contribute to financial analysis and decision-making.

Duties

• Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements
• Manage general ledger accounting, including journal entries, account reconciliation, and month-end closing processes
• Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and bank reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
• Oversee accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities to aid organizational growth

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred
• Experience in investment or fund environments
• Proven experience in corporate accounting or public accounting environments
• Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks or similar tools; advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
• Demonstrated ability to perform financial analysis, balance sheet reconciliation, bank reconciliation, and account analysis accurately
• Excellent understanding of financial concepts such as cash flow analysis, budgeting techniques, forecasting models, and general ledger reconciliation

Compensation

Pay: $50.00 per hour
